Services.

During my twenty-plus years as a university professor, I learned that no two students are alike, so as an independent education consultant (IEC), I developed three distinct support options to ensure that each student receives individual guidance tailored to their unique needs.

Option 1: The Comprehensive Package

Ten clients per graduation year can take advantage of the May First Comprehensive Package in which I provide one-on-one guidance to students throughout the college planning and application process. During our time together, I build trusting relationships with families to develop a strong understanding of what each student needs to achieve post-secondary success. Package services include:

❖ Student/parent surveys and assessment

❖ Family intake meeting

❖ Unlimited one-on-one consultation

❖ Transcript review and curriculum planning

❖ Activities strategy and planning

❖ Standardized testing strategy and planning

❖ Customized college list building

❖ Access to College Planner Pro software

❖ One-on-one Personal Statement Workshop

❖ Supplemental essay guidance and review

❖ Video submission strategy and review

❖ Application strategy and review

❖ Letter of continued interest guidance

Option 2: List Review and One-Hour Consultation

Students who have already begun the college search and list-building process on their own can schedule a one-hour consultation to review the college list as it relates to the student’s test scores, high school transcript, and resumé. List review and consultation includes:

❖ Pre-meeting transcript, test, resumé, and list review

❖ Expert advice on list balance and application strategy

Option 3: One-on-one Personal Statement Workshop

I am an expert at guiding students through the Personal Statement process, from idea generation to the final, polished essay. Through a series of one-on-one Zoom meetings, I work with students to ensure that their writing engages admissions readers in authentic, independently-written personal stories. Personal Statement Workshops are limited to five students per graduation year and include:

❖ Brainstorming and idea generation

❖ Essay strategy guidance

❖ Grammar review and proofreading
